Dog Training Advice That Works

IMG_0829_edited.jpg

Dog Misbehaving?

The internet is a confusing place to look for advice. Maybe you watched a video on YouTube, and you tried a suggestion, and it didn't work. Maybe you went to a trainer who convinced you to punish your dog's misbehavior. You tried that, and that didn't work.

It's time to find a better solution.

Training Class Not For You?

If you took your dog to a training class, and felt like you had the Tasmanian Devil on your leash, you're not alone. Some dogs learn best in familiar environments with familiar people. And no one is more familiar to your dog than you and your home.

In-Home Coaching

Every dog is different. They all need a training plan that is right for them and their needs. I will evaluate your dog's behavior and temperament, and come up with solutions for you. Then we'll work together to help you and your dog reach your goals.

Benefits

Beyond not driving a car-sick dog to class in the snow...

1

Learning At Home

By working with your dog in your home, you'll be teaching your dog where they spend most of their time. Distractions and noises can be managed to make it easier for your dog to learn.

3

Problem Solving

In-Home Coaching addresses:

  • Housebreaking

  • Sandwich stealing

  • Pulling on leash

  • Coming when called

  • Jumping on people

  • Crate training

  • Front door dashing

2

You're In Control

With In-Home Coaching, you hold the leash and the treats. I don't train your dog for you. Instead I coach and give you suggestions. I don't get in the way of your training relationship. My goal is enhancing the love you share.

4

Fun For Everyone

I believe dog training is something we do with our dogs. I believe training is a conversation. You ask a question, dog answers with behavior. You respond with joy, and the dog mirrors your joy. That's what makes dog training fun for everyone.

Dogs I Work With

  • Puppies

  • Adolescent dogs

  • Shy dogs

  • Dogs that lack confidence

  • Dogs who pull on leash

  • All breeds and mixed breeds

Dogs I Don't Work With

Because I lack proper education, it would be unethical for me to assist with:

  • Dogs that bite or threaten to bite

  • Dogs that hurt other animals

  • Severe resource guarding

  • Dogs with separation anxiety

My education is ongoing; however, right now I'm not qualified to help you, but I know someone who is.
